CHLOE THOMPSON'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN MIDDLESBROUGH: EX-SOLDIER AND SEX OFFENDER'S REIGN OF PUBLIC INDECENCY
In the town of Middlesbrough, a disturbing pattern of public indecency and sexual misconduct has come to light involving Chloe Thompson, a woman with a long history of criminal convictions and breaches of court orders. Her actions, which have shocked the local community and prompted serious concern among authorities, span over several years and include multiple instances of exposing herself and engaging in indecent acts in public spaces.
Thompson, who previously served as a soldier and was known by the name Andrew McNab, has accumulated a total of 18 convictions for 26 separate offences.
Among her most serious crimes is a sexual assault committed in 2011 against a young girl, for which she was placed on the sex offenders’ register.
Despite this, she has repeatedly breached the conditions of her registration, with the latest breaches occurring 12 times, demonstrating a troubling pattern of disregard for legal restrictions.
The most recent incidents took place in August 2021, when Thompson was seen performing a sex act on herself in a back alley on Wellesley Road, in the Borough Road area of Middlesbrough.
Witnesses reported that she was moving back and forth against a wheelie bin while using a sex toy, dressed in an ill-fitting black wig, a ra-ra skirt, and a midriff-length top.
When confronted by passersby who shouted at her, she ran away from the scene.
This act of public indecency was not isolated, as she was also observed exposing herself on Cromer Street, where she resided at the time.
During the Cromer Street incident, a witness described seeing a male individual, also dressed in women’s clothing, lifting and playing with his penis in the street.
Another witness observed a man leaning over a garden gate, thrusting his hips in a manner that appeared intended to attract attention.
The court heard that Thompson was seen performing a similar act, walking back towards her house after the initial exposure.
The day’s events were particularly alarming because a woman passing by with her granddaughters, aged 10, 11, and 14, saw a male figure in the window exposing his backside and making thrusting movements.
The grandmother recounted that her grandchildren shouted out, alerting others to the indecent behaviour.
Prosecutor Liz McGowan emphasized the severity of these acts, stating, “The offences were carried out in daylight and in front of children who were passing.
They were grossly offensive.” The court was told that Thompson’s behaviour constitutes a clear violation of public decency laws, and her actions have caused significant distress within the community.
Thompson’s criminal history is extensive.
She was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl in 2011, which led to her being placed on the sex offenders’ register.
Since then, she has breached the register’s conditions on 11 occasions.
Her criminal record also includes a conviction in 2010 for affray, after threatening to shoot a former girlfriend and her new partner, resulting in a one-year prison sentence.
Her move to Middlesbrough from Glasgow marked a new chapter, but her pattern of offending persisted.
She has expressed intentions of returning to the Army Reserves and has undertaken courses aimed at working in the wind turbine industry, perhaps seeking a new start.
However, her recent behaviour has overshadowed these ambitions.
In May of the previous year, Thompson was sentenced to a six-month prison term, suspended for two years, after being convicted of public nuisance related to her indecent exposure and behaviour that outraged public decency.
As part of her sentence, she was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and attend 50 rehabilitation sessions with the probation service.
Her latest court appearance was prompted by her guilty plea on February 15 to charges of public nuisance by indecent exposure, performing a sex act in public, and outraging public decency.
The case was scheduled for sentencing on Tuesday, but the judge, Stephen Carroll, decided to delay the final decision to assess whether measures could be put in place to protect the public from her behaviour if her jail sentence were to be suspended.
The judge requested a report from the probation service to evaluate Thompson’s willingness to cooperate with conditions that might accompany a suspended sentence.
Judge Carroll acknowledged the seriousness of her crimes, stating, “The unpleasantness of the offences means a custodial sentence is inevitable.” He emphasized the importance of mutual respect, telling Thompson, “You are entitled to appropriate respect and courtesy and assistance in facing the challenges ahead of you, but that respect goes both ways.
Other people living their lives are entitled to courtesy and respect.” Thompson’s previous criminal record also includes a 2011 conviction for sexually assaulting a girl under 13, which resulted in a one-year jail sentence.
Her account of the incident was that she was experiencing a “moment of madness,” citing her Army service as a contributing factor.
The court heard that she took advantage of the girl’s physical affection towards her, touching her inappropriately for a few seconds before pulling away.
The victim reported the assault to her mother the following day, leading to police involvement.
In addition to her sexual offences, Thompson has a history of threatening behaviour.
In 2010, she was imprisoned for a year after threatening to shoot her former girlfriend and her new partner during an affray.
Her criminal activities also include a recent incident where she opened a TikTok account without informing authorities, breaching her notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act.
This breach was discovered when she changed her name by deed poll, a legal process that she undertook to alter her identity.
Her upcoming sentencing is scheduled for April 26, and she remains on conditional bail until then.
The court’s decision will determine whether she faces immediate imprisonment or if her behaviour can be managed through suspended sentences and rehabilitation measures.
The community and authorities continue to grapple with the troubling pattern of behaviour exhibited by Chloe Thompson, whose actions have left a lasting impact on the residents of Middlesbrough.
