BRAIN STANFORD FROM DARLINGTON JAILED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF YOUNG GIRLS IN GRIEVING FAMILY
In April 2021, a disturbing case emerged involving Brian Stanford, a man from Darlington, who was convicted of sexually abusing young girls within a family that was already mourning the loss of their father.The abuse took place over a prolonged period, during which Stanford managed to infiltrate the household and establish a manipulative and controlling presence.
Stanford, aged 71 at the time, exploited his physical stature and position of trust to carry out a systematic campaign of sexual assault against girls as young as eight years old.

Initially, Stanford denied the allegations, claiming that he had only met one of the victims on a single occasion and had no further involvement.
