BEN GREEN AND SHOCKING SEXUAL COMMUNICATIONS IN YORKSHIRE
A disturbing case involving a man named Ben Green has come to light in Yorkshire, where he was found to have engaged in inappropriate and manipulative conduct involving a minor.Green, aged 32 and residing on Eleanor Avenue in Bridlington, became the subject of a serious legal proceeding at Hull Crown Court after he admitted to engaging in sexual communication with a 15-year-old girl during the period from May 1 to July 29, 2020.
The case originated through the connection Green had with the teenager, who was known to him via a mutual female acquaintance.
Over an extended period, Green maintained contact with the girl, initially through visits and subsequently through social media platforms.
As their interactions progressed, their conversations took on a highly sexualized tone, raising alarm among those close to the minor.
The prosecuting lawyer, Andrew Stranex, explained that Green’s exchanges with the girl deteriorated into explicit and suggestive language, marking a disturbing shift from benign communication to predatory behavior.
One of the most troubling aspects of the case was that Green deliberately sent the girl a provocative photograph of himself.
The image showed him relaxing in a bath, with foam covering his private parts—an act clearly intended to entice her.
Green apparently hoped that she would be intrigued enough to request more images or to see more of him, demonstrating a deliberate attempt to exploit her underage status for sexual gratification.
The court was also told that Green made a point of informing the girl that there was an explicit, intimate photograph of him available online, which she could view if she chose to do so.
It was acknowledged in court that Green had knowledge that the girl had access to this material.
The situation reached a critical point in July 2020 when the girl, while visiting her aunt, became emotionally distressed after recalling or discovering some of the communications and images.
She confided in her aunt about the inappropriate contact Green had initiated and maintained.
Law enforcement was alerted, and during their investigation, authorities uncovered that Green had engaged in a pattern of sexualized messaging.
Evidence included text messages—some apparently fabricated to appear as if they were from the girl—that confirmed Green’s willingness to continue this behavior and his interest in developing a relationship with a minor.
Throughout the proceedings, Green maintained a record free of prior convictions, and there was no request for mitigation on his behalf.
However, the court’s focus was on the gravity of his actions and the clear breach of social trust and legal boundaries.
The judge, Recorder Anthony Hawks, made it clear that such conduct was profoundly unacceptable, stating that Green’s behavior indicated a troubling sexual interest in young girls.
The judge pointed out that men of good character would not involve themselves in such activities and condemned Green for intentionally engaging in sexualized conversations and sharing explicit images.
In sentencing, Recorder Hawks emphasized that while a custodial sentence might be considered, a short-term imprisonment would likely be ineffective.
Instead, the court aimed to impose a sentence that would prevent recurrence.
Green was ordered to participate in a 30-day rehabilitation program and undergo a sex offenders’ treatment course through the Probation Service.
Additionally, he was mandated to register as a sex offender for a period of five years.
The judge also warned Green that failure to comply with the court’s orders or committing further offences could result in jail time, underscoring the seriousness with which the court regarded the case.
