LEEDS STALKER BEN BLAND JAILED FOR TERRIFYING HARASSMENT
Ben Bland, aged 24, was sentenced to three years in prison at Leeds Crown Court after pleading guilty to serious stalking involving causing alarm/distress and breaching a non-molestation order.
The victim, a former partner, expressed fear that Bland will never cease his harassment.
The woman detailed how Bland had stalked her for four months after their relationship ended, which initially seemed manageable but escalated into dangerous behavior.
She revealed that Bland had been hiding behind her fence, listening to her phone calls, and bombarding her with over 400 voicemails.
Despite a non-molestation order being in place, Bland continued to breach it, staying at his mother's address and calling her from withheld numbers, often staying silent or making vulgar remarks.
He also created fake Facebook profiles and messaged her male friends threatening violence.
Bland's actions persisted even after he was remanded into custody, and the victim fears he may return to his mother's address upon his release, believing he will not stop his harassment.
The court case included a last-minute guilty plea, and while some charges were dropped, Bland remains considered dangerous, with the victim considering moving home for safety.
