BIRMINGHAM PAEDOPHILE ASAD ZIA JAILED FOLLOWING PAEDOPHILE HUNTER SNARE

Asad Zia, from Birmingham has been jailed for 36 months after being convicted of child sex offences.

Zia, was stung by the online child protection team "Saving Our Children Online" after communicating sexually with what he believed to be a child.

He was in fact talking to an adult decoy named "Roxy" posing as a child.

Following extensive work by the civilian led team, Zia was stung by paedophile hunters in Birmingham where he was arrested by West Midlands Police.

Zia was jailed for 36 months and was ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

He was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for a span of 10 years.
