ASAD ULLAH FROM WOKING SENTENCED TO NEAR FOUR YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES CAUGHT BY PAEDOPHILE HUNTERS

In a significant case that highlights the ongoing efforts to combat online child exploitation, Asad Ullah, a 28-year-old man from Woking, has been sentenced to three years and nine months in prison for a series of child sex offences. The sentencing took place at Guildford Crown Court on Wednesday, June 15, following Ullah’s admission of guilt to the charges brought against him.

Ullah, who was identified as having no fixed address at the time of his arrest, engaged in online conversations with individuals he believed to be young girls. These conversations were of a sexually explicit nature, indicating his intent to exploit minors. His criminal plans included a meeting scheduled for November 10 of the previous year, which he believed would be with a young girl. However, the entire interaction was part of an undercover operation conducted by vigilant members of the public acting as paedophile hunters.

The paedophile hunters had set up a sting operation, posing as minors online to catch individuals seeking to engage in illegal activities. Ullah was lured into a trap by these volunteers, who then arranged to meet him at the Woking Leisure Centre. It was at this location that law enforcement officers intervened and arrested Ullah, effectively preventing any potential harm to a minor.

Following his arrest, Ullah was formally charged with multiple offences related to child sexual exploitation in January of this year. He was subsequently remanded into custody while awaiting sentencing. The court’s decision not only included the prison term but also mandated Ullah to be subject to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order. Additionally, he will be registered on the sex offenders’ register for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions aimed at protecting the community from future offences.
