BOLTON MAN JAILED FOR TERRIFYING HOME INVASIONS AND SEXUAL THREATS
A pervert who intruded into women’s homes and demanded sex has received a seven-year prison sentence.Details revealed that Arfan Khan climbed upstairs in a woman’s house after she left her back door unlocked.He grabbed her wrist, blew her a kiss, and told her "come with me." The woman, terrified, screamed for help, and her boyfriend, who was downstairs, managed to eject Khan from the house.Earlier, Khan attempted to get into another nearby woman’s house.
She suspected a parcel delivery and opened her door to find Khan claiming, "I am Khan.
I am here to have sex with you." He forced the door open slightly but was repelled when the woman shut him out and took a photograph of him peering through her window before calling police.Additionally, Khan had tried to assault a man outside a storage unit by grabbing his genitals.
Court hearings also learned about his previous convictions, including following a man with his dog and attempting to grab his genitals at Rivington Barn.Khan, of Mayor Street, Bolton, was convicted of trespass with intent to commit sexual offences and sexual assault after a trial last year.
He was also sentenced for an affray involving his brother during a feud with another family.
During sentencing, Recorder Simon Killeen described Khan as a high risk to the public, citing his numerous previous offences, totaling 24.Prosecutor Jane Dagnall explained that on June 28, 2020, a woman alone at her home with her young son was confronted by Khan, who told her he wanted to have sex.
She managed to shut the door and Khan then visited neighbors and another woman’s house, where he stared at her in her bathroom, grabbed her wrist, and showed sexual intent.
Fortunately, her boyfriend was present and threw Khan out.On August 27, 2020, Khan approached a man locking up his business.
He whispered "sex" to him and then grabbed his genitals.
The victim forcefully told him to leave.
Khan admitted to having a significant alcohol and drug addiction, which he claimed contributed to his impulsive behaviour.
His lawyer argued that none of his actions caused serious harm, but the court noted his dangerousness and his failure to show remorse or understanding of his behaviour.Recorder Killeen emphasized that Khan’s actions, especially entering women’s homes and threatening them sexually, were extremely frightening, with one woman describing her experience as "the most terrifying".
The court concluded that only a substantial prison sentence was appropriate given Khan’s history, attitude, and the nature of his offences.
