LLANDRINDOD WELLS MAN JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE AND INDECENT IMAGES
A paedophile named Anthony Kinsler, aged 51, from Llandrindod Wells, engaged in grooming and sharing indecent images of children.
He communicated with an online decoy on Kik under the alias Droneflyer, claiming to be 24, despite lying about his age.
During their interactions, Kinsler made sexually explicit comments, expressed fantasies involving children, and requested and sent explicit photos and videos of himself.
He also asked the decoy to send photos and spoke about showering and having sex with the child.
When apprehended by Dyfed-Powys Police in June 2021, investigators seized phones containing 29 indecent images of children as young as six and discovered searches related to teenage girls.
Kinsler admitted to the charges, revealing he was bisexual and obtained images to share with others.
He pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and possession of prohibited images.
He was sentenced to 22 months in prison, accompanied by a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and registration as a sex offender.
The judge highlighted that his possession of the images fueled demand and further abuse.
His defence described him as an isolated man with troubling thoughts since adolescence.
