    ANTHONY HARTNESS FROM LEYTON SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE IN WOODFORD GREEN

    In a case that spanned nearly a decade, Anthony Hartness, a resident of Griggs Road in Leyton, has been sentenced to nine and a half years in prison for the sexual abuse of two young girls. The crimes took place at his home in Woodford Green, where he began abusing the girls when they were just nine and eleven years old.

    Hartness was brought before Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, following a conviction by a jury last month on multiple charges. The jury found him guilty of five counts of indecent assault and two counts of assault by penetration, marking a significant legal victory for the victims and the authorities.
