DERBYSHIRE MAN JAILED FOR MERCILESS ATTACK ON PARTNER
A man named Anthony Davis, aged 39, was found guilty of killing his partner, inside their home in South Normanton, Derbyshire.
The court proceedings revealed that Davis carried out a brutal and persistent assault after learning she was involved with a neighbour.
The victim, 30, sustained numerous injuries including a fractured skull, two punctured lungs, and 14 fractured ribs, along with multiple external injuries such as bruising on her face and arms.
The court established that she had 48 external injuries, and her death was caused by injuries to her head and chest.
Davis was convicted of her murder at Nottingham Crown Court and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 24 years.
The judge characterized the attack as merciless and callous, noting Davis’s desire for her to suffer.
He also noted that contrary to his defense claims, Davis did not seek help, but instead tried to maintain a false appearance of normalcy, indicating his profound callousness.
