ANDREW STRYCZKO FROM BEDFORD SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES AND TUMBLR SHARING
In a disturbing case that has shocked the Bedford community, Andrew Stryczko, a 56-year-old resident of Bower Street, was found to possess an alarming collection of over 6,000 indecent images of children.The investigation into his activities revealed that he was not only in possession of these illegal images but also actively sharing them on the popular micro-blogging platform Tumblr.
Furthermore, Stryczko engaged in discussions with more than 100 individuals about horrific child abuse scenarios, raising serious concerns about his involvement in the online exploitation network.
Authorities from Bedfordshire Police, acting on intelligence provided by the Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre (CEOP), executed a warrant at Stryczko’s residence.
During the search, multiple electronic devices were confiscated, all of which contained thousands of illegal images of children.
Among these images, approximately 1,000 were classified in the most severe category, indicating extreme and highly disturbing content.
The devices also contained hundreds of images of an extreme pornographic nature, further emphasizing the severity of the case.
On a recent Wednesday, Stryczko appeared before Luton Crown Court to face the charges.
He pleaded guilty to multiple offences, including possession of indecent images of children, making such images, distributing them, and possessing prohibited images of children.
Additionally, he admitted to possessing extreme pornographic images and intentionally encouraging or assisting in the commission of offences related to distributing indecent images of children.
His guilty plea marked a significant step in addressing the serious crimes he committed.
As a result of his convictions, Stryczko was sentenced to two years in prison.
The court also ordered him to be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of ten years.
Moreover, he was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that will remain in effect for ten years, restricting his activities and monitoring his behavior to prevent further harm.
This case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat online child exploitation and protect vulnerable victims from such heinous crimes.
