ANDREW LEES FROM TELFORD ADMITS TO CHILD SEX IMAGE CHARGES IN SHREWSBURY
In a serious development at Shrewsbury Crown Court, Andrew Lees, a 50-year-old resident of Hills Lane Drive in Madeley, Telford, has confessed to multiple charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children, as well as voyeurism. The case, which has garnered significant attention, involves a total of 16 charges against Lees, who appeared before the court to enter his guilty plea.
Between February 2012 and June 2015, Lees was found to have produced nearly 500 indecent photographs of children.
Of these images, 42 were classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of indecency.
The charges also included allegations of creating indecent moving images, which further compounded the seriousness of the case.

During the court proceedings, Lees did not contest the charges and pleaded guilty to all 16 counts brought against him.
His admission of guilt was made in the presence of the judge, Peter Barrie, who subsequently decided to adjourn the case to allow for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
This report will help determine the appropriate sentencing for Lees, considering the gravity of his offenses.

The case continues to be a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement and judicial authorities to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable victims from such heinous crimes.
