ANDREW HAY FROM AYR REMANDED AFTER SEX OFFENDER INCIDENT INVOLVING SCHOOLGIRLS
Andrew Hay, a known sex offender from Ayr, has been remanded in custody following his admission to engaging in indecent communications with minors.The 22-year-old, who has a history of similar criminal behavior, appeared before Ayr Sheriff Court in handcuffs to face multiple charges related to his inappropriate conduct involving young girls.
Hay pleaded guilty to several serious offenses, including causing a child to view a sexual image and communicating indecently with minors.
His actions spanned from November 2023 to February 2024 and took place at a property in Ayr.
Among the charges, he admitted to sending a sexual photograph of his private parts to a third teenager between December 1 and December 31, 2023.
This act was part of a pattern of behavior aimed at sexual gratification or to humiliate, distress, or alarm the victims.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Hay had made a significant number of calls to the victims—60 calls to one and 399 to another.
