ANDREW GOY LEEDS VIOLENCE: EX-PARTNER BEATEN AND LEFT WITH FRACTURED FACE

Andrew Goy, a 33-year-old resident of Leeds, was sentenced to a prison term of 21 months following a brutal assault on his former partner. The attack resulted in severe injuries, including a broken jaw and cheekbone, leaving the victim with significant facial trauma. The court proceedings revealed disturbing details about the incident, which took place in the early hours of the morning.

According to the prosecution, the assault occurred around 2 a.m., when the victim awoke to find Goy violently punching her and subjecting her to verbal abuse. The court was informed that this was not an isolated incident, as Goy had a prior conviction for attacking another girlfriend, highlighting a troubling pattern of violent behavior.

During the trial at Nottingham Crown Court, Goy admitted to causing grievous bodily harm, acknowledging the severity of his actions. The presiding judge, Michael Stokes QC, did not hold back in condemning Goy’s conduct. He stated, “There is no excuse for any man, particularly a strong man like you who goes body building, to beat up a woman so that she ends up with fractured bones in her face.”

It was also disclosed that Goy had previously served a two-month sentence for driving while disqualified, further emphasizing a pattern of disregard for the law and social norms.
