ALLEN WILTON JAILED IN RYDE FOR BREACHING SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER REQUIREMENTS
Paedophile Allen Wilton, aged 49, of St Johns Wood Road in Ryde, has received a 16-month prison sentence for violating his obligations under the Sex Offenders Register. The court was told that he failed to notify authorities about creating online profiles, specifically using the alias 'falcon1' on Wickr Me, an encrypted messaging app.
Isle of Wight Crown Court heard that police discovered his use of this alias but Wilton refused to provide his password when officers visited his home on October 2nd.
Despite being aware of his legal duty to register such profiles, Wilton did not comply.
Judge said he was arrested at his residence and refused to cooperate with police requests.
PC Michelle Walton commented, 'Wilton is a repeat child sex offender with a history dating back to 2002.
He had absolutely no regard for what he was required to do, by law, so we could ensure that he would not continue to offend and that children were protected.
We simply do not tolerate this, and I am pleased that today’s jail sentence reflects this.' The court's decision underscores the seriousness of breaching sex offender regulations and the commitment to safeguarding children.
