ALISTAIR TAYLOR FROM TELFORD SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN SHREWSBURY

Alistair Taylor, a 28-year-old resident of Pageant Drive in Telford, has been handed a substantial prison sentence of eight years following a series of disturbing offences involving a young girl.

The court heard that Taylor exploited the innocence of a 15-year-old girl by manipulating her emotionally and psychologically.

During the proceedings at Shrewsbury Crown Court, it was revealed that Taylor claimed to be a 'sex addict' and used threats of self-harm to coerce the girl into complying with his demands.

He told her that if she refused to fulfill his sexual wishes, he would 'cut himself,' a statement that underscored the manipulative and coercive nature of his actions.

These offences reportedly took place over the years 2014 and 2015.

However, Taylor's criminal conduct did not end there.

Since those initial incidents, he has accumulated multiple convictions related to child sex offences.

His criminal record now includes charges for possession of indecent images and for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity via Facebook, highlighting a pattern of predatory behavior and online exploitation.

Further evidence presented in court included notes written by Taylor, which detailed his disturbing fantasies involving children and his desire to sexually abuse them.

These writings painted a picture of a man with deeply warped and dangerous thoughts.

The court also learned that Taylor had a history of violent and disruptive behavior, including an incident where he was expelled from Telford College after punching a lecturer.

This act of violence was reportedly committed after Taylor brought a weapon onto the campus, further illustrating his propensity for aggressive and reckless conduct.

Judge Anthony Lowe, presiding over the case, described Taylor as a 'dangerous' individual who posed a significant threat to the safety of the public.

As a result, the judge decided to increase Taylor’s sentence, emphasizing the severity of his actions and the risk he continues to pose.

Details of the initial encounter between Taylor and the girl were also disclosed.

The court was told that Taylor first met the girl in Telford town centre when she was 14, about to turn 15, and he was 18.

Their relationship began shortly thereafter, with Taylor initiating contact through messaging.

Two weeks later, he asked her out on a date.

During this period, Taylor introduced a false story to his friends, claiming that the girl was his cousin, in an attempt to conceal the true nature of their relationship.

The relationship progressed, and Taylor had his first sexual encounter with the girl in a field near a lake in Telford.

At the time, she was 15, and Taylor had picked her up from school.

The court heard that during this encounter, Taylor started kissing her, but she felt uncomfortable.

When she expressed her discomfort, Taylor dismissed her concerns, saying, 'It's fine, no-one can see us,' which further demonstrated his disregard for her feelings and boundaries.
