ALAN THOMPSON FROM ABINGDON SENTENCED TO 15 MONTHS IN JAIL FOR BREACHING COURT ORDERS IN OXFORD

In a significant development at Oxford Crown Court, Alan Thompson, a 56-year-old resident of Abingdon, was sentenced to 15 months in prison last Friday after being found guilty of violating court-imposed restrictions designed to protect the public from potential harm. The conviction stems from Thompson’s deliberate breaches of a sexual harm prevention order, which he was legally bound to adhere to following previous convictions.

Thompson’s violations included purchasing an iPad from Curry’s and utilizing the computers at Abingdon Library, actions explicitly prohibited under his court order. The order clearly stated that Thompson was not allowed to have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18, nor was he permitted to use any device capable of accessing the internet. Despite these restrictions, Thompson engaged in activities that directly contravened the conditions set to safeguard the community.
