ALAN SOLOMON SENTENCED IN WEST BROMWICH FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST TIPTON GIRL
In December 2014, Alan Solomon, a 78-year-old man from West Bromwich, was handed a four-year prison sentence after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offences committed against a young girl. The crimes spanned a distressing period beginning in 1982, when the victim was only eight years old, and continued until she reached the age of 16. The court found Solomon guilty of four counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14, as well as one count of indecent assault on a girl under 16.These heinous acts took place within the Stone Cross area of West Bromwich, a location that has now become associated with this disturbing case. The court's judgment included strict restrictions upon Solomon's release from prison. Among these restrictions were prohibitions preventing him from entering Tipton, a nearby town, and from making any contact with the victim. Additionally, Solomon was barred from having access to children under the age of 16, reflecting the severity of his offences and the need to protect potential future victims.
Furthermore, Solomon will be registered on the sex offenders register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions. The case highlights the long-lasting impact of abuse and the importance of justice in holding offenders accountable for their actions.
