ADAM WYLES FROM GREAT YARMOUTH BANNED IN UK AFTER POLAND REFUGEES AND FAKE MEDIC IN REFUGEE CAMPS

In March 2022, authorities took significant legal action against Adam Wyles, a man with a troubling history of sexual offenses, who had recently traveled to Poland amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Wyles, aged 34 and residing on Sycamore Avenue in Great Yarmouth, was ordered by Judge Martyn Levett to surrender his passport for a period of 18 months, effectively banning him from leaving the United Kingdom.

The judge's decision was rooted in Wyles' extensive criminal record, which clearly demonstrated an entrenched sexual interest in young female children. The court revealed that between March 7 and March 21 of that year, Wyles had journeyed to Poland under the guise of providing aid to refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine. During this trip, he reportedly offered to rescue children from a Ukrainian orphanage, raising serious concerns about his intentions.

Further investigations uncovered disturbing details about Wyles' activities during his time in Poland. Information received from someone who traveled with him indicated that Wyles had posed as a medical aid officer within a refugee camp. He was found to have worn an air ambulance medic uniform and carried a false medical identification badge, suggesting an attempt to impersonate a healthcare professional. These actions raised alarm among authorities, given Wyles' prior convictions and known predatory behavior.

On March 31, 2022, the Chief Constable of Suffolk submitted an application to amend a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) previously issued by Norwich Crown Court in April 2020. The application sought to strengthen restrictions on Wyles, including the surrender of his passport and a ban on international travel. The court's decision to impose these measures was influenced by Wyles' history, which includes a 2015 conviction for possession of indecent images of children, leading to a community order and a five-year SHPO that limited his contact with minors.

In 2020, Wyles was found to have breached the terms of his SHPO when he deceived a charity supporting children with disabilities into allowing him to drive a vehicle during a trip to Europe in 2019. During that incident, he admitted to three additional offenses involving the creation of indecent images of children and failure to comply with notification requirements. As a result, he was sentenced to 27 months in prison.

The court also highlighted Wyles' previous convictions, which included impersonating a police officer and possessing police uniforms. These offenses underscored a pattern of deceptive and predatory behavior. After considering all evidence, Judge Levett determined that it was necessary and proportionate to amend the existing SHPO, enforce the passport surrender, and impose the travel ban for 18 months to protect the public.

Wyles' criminal history paints a troubling picture of repeated violations and manipulative conduct. His actions in Poland, coupled with his past offenses, prompted the court to take stringent measures to prevent further harm. The case underscores ongoing concerns about the risks posed by individuals with a history of sexual offenses, especially when they attempt to exploit vulnerable populations during times of crisis.
