ADAM DOBSON CAUGHT WITH CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN DONCASTER AND MARHAM
In a case that has sent shockwaves through the military and local communities, Adam Dobson, a 28-year-old aircraftsman stationed at RAF Marham, has admitted to possessing indecent images of children. The revelation came during a court hearing in Lynn, where Dobson pleaded guilty to five counts of possessing indecent photographs and videos of minors, along with an additional charge related to an extreme pornographic image.
These offences were committed at the RAF base in Marham on May 20 of the previous year, according to court documents.
The case was brought to light following an investigation initiated by the Metropolitan Police, which was subsequently handed over to the Staffordshire and Norfolk police forces for further examination.
Authorities uncovered a disturbing collection of material on Dobson’s electronic devices, including a laptop, a desktop computer, and a separate hard disk.
In total, 29 indecent images were recovered, highlighting the severity of the case and the potential risk posed by Dobson’s possession of such material.
During the hearing, Alison Cotterill, representing the prosecution, indicated that the authorities plan to seek a sexual harm prevention order against Dobson.
This measure aims to prevent any future harm and restrict his access to similar material, given the serious nature of the offences.
Dobson, who provided an address in Doncaster, was granted bail until his next court appearance.
The case was adjourned until June 24 to allow for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
However, district judge Nicholas Watson made it clear that a prison sentence was inevitable, stating, “A prison sentence is inevitable.
The question I have to decide is how long it should be and whether I can impose it.”
