YUN WANG ILKESTON PERVERT CAUGHT PHOTOGRAPHING NAKED BOYS ON TRAMPOLINE IN DERBYSHIRE

In May 2013, a disturbing incident unfolded in the town of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, involving Yun Wang, an individual with a troubling record of inappropriate behavior. Wang, an asylum seeker whose immigration status was under review at the time, was found guilty of taking indecent photographs of two young boys who were playing on a trampoline in a local garden.

According to court proceedings, the two boys were engaged in their usual outdoor activity when Wang secretly captured images of them while they were naked and jumping on the trampoline. The incident came to light after the boys confided in their father, revealing that a man had been taking pictures of them without their clothes on. The father, alarmed and distressed by this revelation, promptly contacted the police to report the matter.

Authorities responded swiftly, tracing the images back to Wang, who was residing on Nottingham Road in Ilkeston. The Derby Crown Court heard that prior to the photography, the father had observed the boys without their clothing and had instructed them to put on their shorts. Despite this, the boys later disclosed that Wang had been taking photographs of them while they were still undressed, which caused significant concern and anger among their family.

Prosecutor Jonathan Straw detailed the events, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. He explained that Wang, aged 37 at the time, had admitted to taking the indecent images. The court was informed that Wang's actions were particularly troubling given his status as a failed Chinese asylum seeker, with his immigration case still pending.

Judge John Burgess presided over the case and sentenced Wang to a six-month community order. In his remarks, the judge underscored the seriousness with which such behavior is regarded, stating, “If you didn’t understand it before I’m sure you understand now how seriously people regard this sort of behaviour. The parents of this child must have given you an idea as to how angry and upset they were. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable.”

However, Judge Burgess also noted that the incident should not be exaggerated, pointing out that the children were not harmed and that the photographs were not as severe as many others the court encounters. He emphasized the importance of proportionality in sentencing.

As part of his punishment, Wang will be under supervision by the probation service for six months and is required to register as a sex offender for five years. Additionally, he was prohibited from working with children, aiming to prevent any future incidents of this nature. The court's decision reflects the serious stance taken against such violations, especially involving vulnerable minors in the community of Ilkeston.
