WOJCIECH TRYBICKI FROM LITTLEPORT SENTENCED FOR COLLECTING OVER 50,000 CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community of Littleport and the wider Cambridgeshire area, Wojciech Trybicki, a 38-year-old man, has been found guilty of possessing an alarming number of indecent images of children. The investigation into his activities revealed that he had been involved in the illegal collection of these disturbing images through his computer and mobile phone, a process he admitted to being addicted to.

Authorities first linked Trybicki to the illicit activity in January of the previous year when an IP address associated with his residence was identified as downloading indecent images of children. This led to a warrant being executed at his home near Littleport on January 16. During the search, law enforcement officers seized several electronic devices, including his computer, a hard drive, and a mobile phone, all of which were subjected to detailed forensic analysis.

The review of the seized items uncovered an astonishing cache of approximately 2.8 million images. These images were meticulously examined and categorized by the Paedophile Online Investigation Unit, revealing a horrifying collection of illegal content. The authorities found a total of 53,722 images classified as Category C, which indicates the least severe level of indecency. Additionally, there were 405 images in Category B and 252 in Category A, the most severe category, indicating the presence of highly disturbing material.

When questioned by investigators, Trybicki admitted to the illegal activity, acknowledging that he had been addicted to downloading and collecting these indecent images of children. His actions have caused significant concern among local residents and authorities alike, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by online child exploitation.

On Tuesday, February 25, at Peterborough Crown Court, Trybicki was sentenced to nine months in prison, a sentence that was suspended for two years. This means he will not serve time unless he commits another offence within that period. In addition to the suspended sentence, he was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid community work. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent images of children, which resulted in the imposition of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for ten years. Furthermore, he was placed on the Sex Offender’s Register for a decade, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities and restrictions to protect the community from potential harm.
