Willum Webster was snared by a vigilante group after he sent a series of horror images and videos of a male performing a solo sex act to who he believed to be a teenage schoolgirl.

Webster, 35, posted the disgusting material to a social media profile belonging to ‘14-year-old Sophie’ and also asked the ‘child’ to send him indecent images of herself in return.

The sicko also begged ‘Sophie’ to perform a sex act for him and told her what sexual positions he wanted to carry out with her.

Webster was in fact in contact with an adult decoy belonging to the Irish organisation Justice Reborn and confronted by activists at his home on January 31 this year.

He pleaded guilty to attempting to communicate indecently with a child and being in possession of indecent images of children, including extreme pornographic material depicting bestiality.

The court was told the social media profile was set up by an adult and the communication was "sexual in nature" despite the profile claiming to be 14.

Webster, who had been released from previous prison in October, was remanded in custody and placed on the sex offenders register on an interim basis.

He admitted to repeatedly sending sexual messages and images between January 29 and 31 this year, aiming for sexual gratification, and possessed indecent images of children as young as two and animal abuse material.

The judge delayed sentencing to later this month.
