WILLIAM THOMSON FROM ROYTH FACES CHARGES OF DOMESTIC ABUSE IN DUNFERMLINE

William Thomson, aged 29, originally from Fordyce Avenue, New Deer, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to answer serious allegations of domestic abuse directed at his former partner. The court proceedings revealed that Thomson's abusive conduct took place over a period spanning from May 1st to October 25th of the previous year, with incidents occurring at various locations, including addresses in Rosyth.

During the hearing, it was disclosed that Thomson engaged in a pattern of troubling and aggressive behaviors. These included repeatedly sending messages to his former partner, demanding explicit images and making persistent attempts to contact her through social media platforms. Despite her clear requests for him to stop, Thomson continued these unwanted communications, demonstrating a blatant disregard for her boundaries.

In addition to digital harassment, Thomson was accused of physically invading her personal space by repeatedly touching her upper clothing without consent. His actions escalated to uninvited visits to her home, where he behaved aggressively—shouting, swearing, and displaying threatening conduct. The court also heard that Thomson involved members of his family in his harassment, with messages being sent through them to contact his former partner, further intensifying the distress caused.

The sheriff presiding over the case, Susan Duff, listened to the evidence and decided to defer sentencing until September 11th, allowing for further consideration of the case.
