WILLIAM PASKIN AND DAVID WILLMOTT SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC CHILD ABUSE IN WORCESTER AND WEYMOUTH

In a chilling case that has shocked the communities of Worcester and Weymouth, two men responsible for a series of heinous crimes against children have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms. The offences, which involved severe sexual abuse and cruelty, took place over several years and involved multiple victims, including a young boy who was subjected to unimaginable acts of depravity.

William Paskin, aged 44 and residing on Cranham Drive in Warndon, Worcester, was handed a total of 25 years in prison after being convicted of multiple serious charges. His crimes included five counts of rape, two counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault against a child under 13, and one count of cruelty to a child. The sexual assaults against the young girl, who was under 13, were committed against a third complainant, with all offences occurring several years prior to the trial.

The cruelty charge against Paskin involved him kicking a child and lying on top of her, acts that exemplify the extreme level of his misconduct. During the sentencing, Judge Robert Juckes QC described Paskin’s actions as “plumb[ing] the depths of depravity,” emphasizing the gross sexual abuse inflicted upon his victims. The judge highlighted Paskin’s disturbing pattern of behavior, which demonstrated a clear desire to control, abuse, and dominate his victims.

Particularly disturbing were the details of the assaults on a girl when Paskin was just 16 years old. He raped her twice—once in a tent and once in a toilet in Worcester. The other victims included a young boy who was tied to a table and a bed during the assaults, with Paskin and others using him as a “sexual plaything,” as described by the judge. The judge’s words underscored the severity of the abuse, condemning the acts as “extreme depravity.”

In addition to Paskin’s sentencing, the court also dealt with other individuals involved in the case. David Willmott, aged 36 from Rodwell Avenue in Weymouth, received a sentence of 12 years after being convicted of three rapes and one indecent assault committed against the same boy in Worcester. His crimes were part of a disturbing campaign of sexual violence, with the judge noting the “severe psychological harm” inflicted on the victim, along with humiliation and degradation.

Two women connected to the case also faced charges. Jemma Terry, aged 31 from Selsey Close in Worcester, was found guilty of two counts of cruelty to a person under 16. During the sentencing, she reacted violently, screaming and kicking the dock door repeatedly, requiring intervention from dock officers. She was sentenced to three years in prison.

Louise Mapp, aged 39 from Lower Chestnut Walk in Worcester, was convicted of two counts of affray, which included holding a knife to a child's throat and throwing knives at him. The jury acquitted her of indecent assault. Mapp received 18-month concurrent sentences, which were suspended for two years, and was ordered to complete 20 days of rehabilitation activities.

Prosecutor Daniel White described the case as a “campaign of rape,” emphasizing the profound psychological damage suffered by the young victim. The court also imposed sexual harm prevention orders on both Paskin and Willmott to prevent further offenses. Paskin’s sentence was extended by four years beyond the initial 21-year term because the judge deemed him dangerous, resulting in a total of 25 years. Willmott’s sentences for the crimes he committed were served concurrently, with a four-year sentence for the indecent assault.
