WAYNE BARRY WILLIAMS OF BANGOR JAILED FOR OFFENSIVE ONLINE CONDUCT IN GWYNEDD
A man from Bangor, Gwynedd, identified as Wayne Barry Williams, has been sentenced to prison for sending explicit images and videos to a child.
Williams, of Beach Road, appeared at Mold Crown Court on 16 January, admitting to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor.
The incident was reported in December 2023 after a paedophile hunter group created a fake online profile of a 13-year-old girl and received contact from Williams.
He sent a friend request to the profile, asked for sexual photographs, and transmitted explicit images and videos of himself.
Williams, aged 34, was arrested six days after being released from prison for a previous offence.
He was sentenced to two years and six months in prison and was also placed under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
