In a significant legal case that has brought justice to two young victims, Walter Payne, a man with connections to Worcester, was sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple serious sexual offences committed against two young girls during the early to mid-1990s.

The offences, which occurred between 1991 and 1996, involved Payne committing three indecent assaults and four counts of rape.

The victims were both 11 years old at the time, and the crimes have left a lasting impact on their lives.

Payne, who was 67 years old at the time of sentencing and hails from Selby, North Yorkshire, admitted to these charges during proceedings at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, May 20.
