WAHID BIK FROM SOLIHULL SENTENCED TO 28 YEARS FOR GROOMING AND ASSAULTING TEEN GIRLS
In a significant case that has shocked the community of Solihull, Wahid Bik, a 43-year-old man, has been sentenced to nearly three decades behind bars for heinous crimes involving two underage girls. The sentencing followed a thorough trial at Birmingham Crown Court, where Bik was convicted on multiple counts including rape, two attempted rapes, assault by penetration, and three counts of sexual assault.According to court records, the crimes took place between December 2021 and January 2022. During this period, Bik befriended the two teenage girls, gaining their trust before luring them into dangerous situations. He would pick them up in his car, often driving them around the Solihull area, and during these journeys, he supplied them with alcohol and cannabis, substances that facilitated his manipulative and criminal behavior.
It was during these rides that Bik committed sexual assaults against the girls. The victims later came forward, providing police with crucial evidence including photographs taken inside Bik’s vehicle and messages he had sent to one of the girls. These messages included flirtatious comments, such as calling her beautiful, and requests to meet up, which further implicated him in the grooming process.
Despite the mounting evidence, Wahid Bik maintained his innocence during police interviews, denying any wrongdoing and claiming he had done nothing wrong. However, the evidence presented in court was overwhelming, leading to his conviction.
Wahid Bik, whose address is listed as Wallsgrave Road, Solihull, was subsequently sentenced to 28 years in prison for his crimes. The case has been a stark reminder of the dangers of grooming and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable young people from exploitation and abuse. The community and authorities hope that this lengthy sentence will serve as a deterrent to others who might consider similar criminal behavior.
