MAN JAILED FOR SEX OFFENCES AGAINST TWO VICTIMS
A resident of Old Colwyn has been sentenced to prison for committing sexual offences against two individuals.Vishnu Remadevi received his sentence this week following a conviction for a series of disturbing crimes, with law enforcement expressing appreciation for the victims’ courage in coming forward.
North Wales Police West Conwy Coastal issued a statement on Friday explaining that a 39-year-old man from Old Colwyn was convicted on multiple counts of sexual misconduct.
The authorities revealed that in November of the previous year, they responded to reports of a sexual assault at a private residence.
During the initial interview, it was also disclosed that the person accompanying the victim to support them was also subjected to offences committed by Remadevi, which included assault, rape, and psychological and physical abuse — notably involving tracking their mobile phone.
Following the investigation, detectives charged Remadevi with numerous crimes, including rape, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, threatening with a weapon, strangulation, and coercive control.
Despite maintaining his innocence and alleging that his accusers were colluding against him, Remadevi ultimately admitted guilt during his trial.
Yesterday, he received a prison sentence of eleven and a half years.
