VINCENT TABAK BRISTOL MURDERER AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY DISCOVERED

In a shocking revelation that has sent ripples through the Bristol community, police investigations uncovered disturbing evidence on the laptop of Vincent Tabak, the man convicted of the brutal murder of Joanna Yeates.

The 33-year-old engineer, originally from the Netherlands, was sentenced to life imprisonment on a Friday after a jury found him guilty of strangling the 25-year-old landscape architect.

Following his conviction at Bristol Crown Court, authorities disclosed that Tabak harbored an obsession with violent and perverse material.

It was revealed that he had a disturbing fixation on images depicting women being strangled during sexual acts, alongside a broader interest in violent pornography and prostitution.

These revelations added a deeply troubling dimension to the case, highlighting the extent of Tabak's depraved interests.

Further investigations into his digital devices uncovered more alarming content.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that they had discovered approximately 30 images of children being sexually abused on Tabak’s personal laptop.

An officer involved in the case, who chose to remain anonymous, spoke to the Bristol Evening Post about the findings.

He emphasized that the police aimed to dispel any speculation surrounding these additional materials.

According to the officer, “Tabak had 30 images depicting child pornography on his laptop computer at home.

They were all category four images.” In the UK, offences involving indecent images of children are classified into five categories based on their severity.

Category four images involve penetrative sexual activity with children, or scenes involving both children and adults.

The discovery of such material raised serious concerns, although it was noted that due to Tabak’s existing life sentence for murder, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) was unlikely to pursue further charges related to these images.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Jones, who led the investigation into the murder of Joanna Yeates, confirmed that additional material was found during the examination of Tabak’s computer.

“During the examination of Vincent Tabak’s computer, other material was found,” he stated.

“We have referred this matter to the Crown Prosecution Service for initial guidance.” The CPS will now evaluate whether pursuing charges related to the child abuse images is in the public interest, considering various legal and ethical factors.

It is important to note that the jury in Tabak’s trial was not informed about the existence of these images or their disturbing content.

Moreover, the evidence found on his devices bore chilling similarities to the manner of Miss Yeates’ death.

The pornography depicted scenes of blonde women being throttled during sexual encounters or forcibly placed into car trunks, revealing a disturbing pattern of violent fantasies.

In the weeks leading up to the murder, Tabak also engaged in a separate act of depravity by paying for sex with a prostitute during a business trip to Los Angeles.

Despite the gruesome details of his sexual interests remaining undisclosed to the jury, they ultimately found him guilty of the murder of his neighbor, Joanna Yeates.

Her body was discovered on Christmas morning in Failand, North Somerset, after being left in a frozen state.

Miss Yeates, who shared a flat with her boyfriend Greg Reardon on Canynge Road in Clifton, Bristol, was last seen alive before her body was found by a couple walking their dog.

Judge Mr.

Justice Field sentenced Tabak to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 20 years before he could be considered for parole.

The case has left a lasting impact on the Bristol community, highlighting the dark depths of human depravity and the importance of vigilant law enforcement in uncovering such disturbing truths.
