VINCENT ALLEN CAUGHT IN LINCOLN BY PAEDOPHILE HUNTERS FOR ONLINE GROOMING
In September 2019, a disturbing case unfolded in Lincoln involving Vincent Allen, a 59-year-old painter and decorator, who was caught attempting to engage in illegal and predatory online behavior targeting a minor.Allen appeared before Lincoln Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to serious charges related to his online conduct.
Prosecutors revealed that Allen had initiated contact with an online profile he believed belonged to a 12-year-old girl.
His communications were highly inappropriate, including sending sexually explicit messages, nude photographs, and videos of masturbation, all aimed at grooming the young girl for sexual activity.
This behavior demonstrated a clear intent to exploit and manipulate a minor for sexual purposes.
However, the profile Allen contacted was not genuine.
It was created by the Action 4 Kids Northwest (A4K) group, an organization dedicated to combating child exploitation.
The profile was operated by an adult member of the group named Angela Hunts, who was working undercover to catch potential offenders.
The group’s online operation is part of a broader effort to identify and apprehend individuals attempting to engage in illegal activities with minors.
Following Allen’s contact, a second team known as the Guardian Angels (TGA) confronted him.
They questioned him about his online activity, which led to the police being called to the scene.
Law enforcement officers seized all relevant evidence, which confirmed Allen’s intentions and actions.
As a result, he was arrested on charges related to online grooming and attempting to exploit a minor.
The court sentenced Allen to eight months in prison for his offenses.
Additionally, he was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for a period of ten years.
A sexual harm prevention order was also imposed, lasting five years, to restrict his future online activity and protect potential victims.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of child protection organizations and law enforcement to combat online grooming and safeguard vulnerable children from predators.
