Lincoln man Adrian Bell gets over 7 years for child abuse images

LINCOLN MAN ADRIAN BELL GETS OVER 7 YEARS FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES

Two child abusers have been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison after indecent images were found on a phone.

Charlotte Killingsworth, 52, and Adrian Bell, 53, were arrested in July 2020 after police discovered indecent images on Killingsworth’s phone.

The device contained 298 images and videos of the most serious Category A nature, 147 Category B images and videos and 569 Category C images and videos.

Killingsworth, of Chaucer Drive, Lincoln, previously pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child under the age of 16 and three counts of making indecent images of a child under the age of 16.

Bell, of Doddington Road, Lincoln, was found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16.

Bell has now been sentenced to seven years and two months in prison and Killingsworth was jailed for three years.

Both will be placed on the Sex Offenders' Register indefinitely and are to be given Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.

Detective Inspector David McKean of Lincolnshire Police said: “Children are victimised not only when they are abused and an image is first taken, but repeatedly every time that image is viewed.

“Tackling child abuse is a priority for the force and we are working hard every day to keep children safe and bring offenders before the courts.

I hope these prison sentences bring some comfort to the victim.” Lincolnshire Police has issued advice to victims or rape or sexual assault, emphasizing that what has happened is not the victim's fault and encouraging seeking help through medical attention, speaking with trusted individuals, or contacting local support services.
