VICTOR LAVENDER INVOLVED IN MAIDSTONE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY NETWORK

In a case that has shocked the community of Maidstone, Victor Lavender, a 63-year-old grandfather residing on Willington Street, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The charges stem from an extensive investigation that uncovered a disturbing collection of over 3,000 explicit photographs and more than 100 video clips stored on Lavender's personal computer.

Authorities revealed that the images included distressing depictions of young boys and girls, some as young as just 12 months old, being subjected to sexual abuse by adults. The court was informed that Lavender was actively involved in an online child pornography network, where he exchanged explicit images with other members. Prosecutor Claire Moulsher explained that Lavender had to submit his own photographs to a club in order to receive images from others, indicating a disturbing level of participation in this illicit activity.

Further details disclosed that Lavender had taken explicit photographs of children playing in a swimming pool located in his backyard, and he distributed these images without any attempt to conceal the identities of the minors involved. Following the guilty plea, magistrates decided to commit Lavender to the Crown Court for sentencing, indicating that the case will now be subject to a more severe judicial review.
