UWE KAISER FROM PERTHSHIRE TRACKS DOWN SCOTS TEENAGER HOURS AFTER BEING FREED ON BAIL

In a disturbing sequence of events, Uwe Kaiser, a German national with connections to Perthshire, was released on bail only to immediately breach the conditions set by the court. Despite a sheriff’s ruling that he posed a significant danger to the public, particularly due to his previous attempts to take a teenage girl to Germany, the appeal court overturned the decision to keep him detained. Kaiser’s release last week was short-lived, as he defied strict bail restrictions by contacting his young victim through multiple text messages and WhatsApp communications shortly after gaining his freedom.

Furthermore, Kaiser failed to comply with a court-mandated requirement to inform authorities of his current residence within three days of his release. This blatant disregard for the court’s orders led to his re-arrest, and he was brought back before Perth Sheriff Court. During the hearing, Kaiser admitted to two charges of breaching bail conditions and failing to register his new address between November 29 and December 5. Sheriff Linda Smith refused to grant him bail again, and her decision to remand him in custody was made pending sentencing.

Uwe Kaiser, aged 49, had previously been remanded at the end of last month after admitting to serious offences involving grooming and child pornography. He also confessed to violating a court order that prohibited him from seeing the girl. The victim, a vulnerable teenager from a troubled family background, has expressed her desire to relocate to Germany with Kaiser, who is employed as a chemical plant operator.

Earlier court proceedings revealed that Kaiser and the girl were traced together in London, en route to Germany, after she became the subject of a missing persons investigation. The girl was found approximately 500 miles from her home, nearly a year after Kaiser began grooming her through various social media platforms. Evidence showed that Kaiser sent her sexually explicit selfies via WhatsApp and Skype, persuading her to send explicit images back to him. His manipulative tactics included convincing her to leave her home and travel with him to Frankfurt, promising they could start a new life together at his residence in Germany.

The police tracked the pair as they traveled, and their location was eventually discovered in London after intensive efforts, including sending the girl numerous texts and emails. Kaiser had flown to Scotland to meet the girl in Crieff, and their journey culminated in their being caught in London. The investigation also revealed that Kaiser had groomed the girl over a period from January to October 2015, with charges relating to child grooming and possession of child pornography. His actions have caused significant concern among authorities and the victim’s family, who are now seeking to ensure he remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
