TREVOR HARE FROM PLYMOUTH ESCAPES PRISON AFTER VIOLENT ATTACKS ON CHILDREN IN PLYMOUTH
In January 2021, a man from Plymouth named Trevor Andrew Hare, aged 39, appeared before Plymouth Magistrates Court to face charges related to violent assaults on young children.Hare pleaded guilty to multiple counts of assault, including a charge of common assault against a child under the age of 16, as well as two counts of assault by beating involving two other children also under 16 years old.
According to court reports, Hare, who has a documented history of violent behavior, physically attacked three young children using his fists.
The court was informed that Hare's previous encounters with the law included a 2019 incident where he was fined for assaulting a police officer while performing his duties as an emergency worker.
This history of violence contributed to the court's consideration of his case.
Despite the severity of his actions, Hare was not sentenced to prison.
Instead, the judge imposed a community order that required him to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
Additionally, Hare was mandated to attend a 30-day course titled 'Building Better Relationships' as part of his rehabilitation process.
A further requirement for rehabilitation activities was also included in his sentence, emphasizing the court's focus on reform and community safety.
