MAN GUILTY OF MURDERING PARTNER IN FLAT
A man has been found guilty of murdering his partner at his flat.On Thursday, a jury at Plymouth Crown Court convicted Mark Fitzgerald unanimously for murdering 54-year-old Lisa Paris at his Rendle Street flat, in the city, in March 2024.
Fitzgerald had denied her murder during the three-week trial.
The court heard Ms Paris was last seen alive on 8 March 2024, but her body was not found until 10 days later.
She had 70 bruise wounds to her head, neck and body, however a pathologist could not give an exact cause or time of death.
Fitzgerald will be sentenced later.
