HARLOW PERVERT TREVOR DIXON SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND ANIMAL SEX PICTURES

In May 2013, a disturbing case unfolded involving Trevor Dixon, a 56-year-old resident of Harlow, who was ultimately sentenced to six months in prison after police uncovered a cache of child abuse images and explicit material involving animals at his Ladyshot home.

Initially, law enforcement officers responded to a minor incident involving Dixon when he crashed his BMW into a parked vehicle. During their visit to his residence, officers conducted a routine interview, but what they discovered inside was far more sinister than a simple traffic mishap. Upon entering Dixon’s home, the police found several photograph albums filled with highly disturbing images, including photographs depicting child abuse and adults engaged in sexual acts with animals.

Further investigation revealed that Dixon was not only in possession of these illicit images but had also actively created and stored them on his electronic devices. Two laptop computers seized from his home were subjected to a detailed forensic analysis, which uncovered hundreds of additional images. The digital evidence was staggering: among the files, there were 659 images classified as level one, 39 at level two, 79 at level three, and four at level four. Alarmingly, seven of these images depicted sexual acts involving animals.

In a court hearing held at Chelmsford Crown Court, Dixon, who was unemployed at the time, pleaded guilty to charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children. The court was informed that the images had been produced and stored over a period stretching from October 2010 to August 2012. The police also discovered that Dixon had printed some of these images from the internet, which he then stored in photo albums, further evidencing his involvement in the distribution and collection of such material.

Detective Constable John Staines provided insight into the investigation, confirming that the police found printed images in albums, alongside the digital files on the laptops. Prosecutor Grace Court emphasized the severity of the case, noting the explicit and realistic nature of some images involving animals, which indicated a disturbing level of depravity.

Following his guilty plea, Dixon was placed on the sex offenders register and was remanded on bail until May 1, 2013, to allow for pre-sentence reports to be prepared. During the sentencing hearing, District Judge Paul Booty addressed Dixon directly, stating, “If it wasn’t for people like you, there wouldn’t be a pornographic industry and children wouldn’t suffer as they do. By possessing these images, you’re feeding into the child pornography industry.”

Judge Booty sentenced Dixon to six months in prison, emphasizing the gravity of his offenses. Additionally, he ordered that Dixon remain on the sex offenders register for seven years and comply with a sex offenders prevention order for a further seven years. In mitigation, Dixon’s defense attorney, Andrew Clowser, argued that his client had a long-standing interest in naturism and adult pornography, which had unfortunately developed into a troubling fixation on young people. Clowser also stated that Dixon was seeking treatment to address his issues, asserting, “He seeks treatment – he wants to rid himself of this disease.”
