February 2005 Millom man jailed for sex attack on schoolgirl A MILLOM man involved in a sex attack on a teenage girl has been jailed. Tony Woodburn, of Bay View, was sentenced to 10 months in prison at Preston Crown Court on Monday. The 24-year-old was convicted last month of indecent assault and outraging public decency after an incident on a train to Barrow in March last year. The court was told Woodburn had been drinking when he boarded the train at Foxfield and the teenage girl was already on board. The defendant was a stranger to his victim and the railway carriage was empty. Woodburn exposed himself and masturbated and later in a toilet he had indecently assaulted her, hugging her and trying to kiss her. After her ordeal, the 15-year-old was said to have been upset and distraught. There were two other defendants in the trial. One was acquitted and the jury could not agree a verdict on the other.
