TIMOTHY WAKE TERRORIZES TELFORD WITH 10-YEAR SENTENCE FOR PREDATORY SEXUAL OFFENCES

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the Telford community, Timothy Wake, a 49-year-old man with a disturbing history of sexual misconduct, has been sentenced to a decade behind bars for a series of heinous offences spanning over three decades. The crimes, which include rape, threats to kill, and sexual activity with a minor, highlight a pattern of predatory behavior that persisted from the mid-1980s into his adult life.

Wake’s criminal activities first came to light in 2012 when authorities received a complaint related to an incident of rape. This initial report prompted a thorough investigation by West Mercia Police, which uncovered multiple allegations from women in the Telford area. As the investigation progressed, it became evident that Wake had been targeting vulnerable victims for many years, beginning with young schoolgirls dressed in uniform outside a Telford school in 1984. His predatory actions did not cease with adolescence; rather, they continued into his adulthood, revealing a pattern of violent and sexually motivated offenses.

Throughout the investigation, additional victims were identified, painting a disturbing picture of Wake’s violent sexual nature and his lack of remorse. Additionally, he will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life, ensuring continued monitoring of his activities.

He stated that Wake viewed every female he encountered as a potential sexual partner and was incapable of controlling his impulses. The judge emphasized that Wake posed a significant danger to the public, particularly to women, and warned that without intervention, he was likely to commit further offences.
