TIMOTHY LOVEGROVE SHOCKS EVERSHOTT WITH CHILD PORN AND BESTIALITY IMAGES

In April 2022, a disturbing case emerged involving Timothy Brian Lovegrove, a resident of Back Lane in the small village of Evershot, Dorset. Lovegrove faced serious criminal charges at Weymouth Magistrates Court, where he pleaded guilty to possessing and creating a vast collection of indecent images of children, alongside explicit material involving animals. The allegations detailed a disturbing pattern of behavior spanning over 17 years, from April 10, 2004, to June 24, 2021.

Specifically, Lovegrove admitted to producing a significant number of indecent photographs and pseudo-photographs of minors. The court records reveal that he was responsible for 24 Category A images, which are considered the most severe, 17 Category B images, and an alarming 2,194 Category C images, which are still indecent but considered less severe. These images were both still photographs and moving images, indicating a comprehensive collection of illicit material involving children.

In addition to the child exploitation images, Lovegrove also confessed to possessing 27 extreme pornographic images that depicted acts of intercourse with live animals. These images were described as explicit and realistic, further highlighting the depravity of his offenses. The court was told that these crimes took place over nearly two decades, reflecting a long-standing pattern of illegal activity.

Following his guilty plea, Lovegrove was granted unconditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, May 13. The case has sent shockwaves through the local community of Evershot and beyond, raising concerns about the presence of such disturbing behavior in seemingly quiet rural areas.

Earlier, in July 2008, Lovegrove's criminal record included a separate, equally disturbing case. At that time, he, then aged 53, admitted to possessing over 36,000 images related to child abuse. The police had uncovered this extensive collection during an investigation, which led to charges of multiple offenses involving indecent images and videos of children.

During a hearing at Oxford Crown Court, Lovegrove, formerly residing on Mill Close in Deddington, admitted to ten charges. These included incitement to distribute indecent images of children, five counts of making indecent photographs of children, and four counts of possessing such images. He denied an additional charge of incitement to cause child pornography, which was subsequently ordered to be left on file. Prosecutor Peter Coombe stated that police found a staggering 36,084 images in Lovegrove's possession, all believed to be indecent.

His defense lawyer, Nigel Daly, challenged the prosecution's assertion, claiming that not all the images were necessarily indecent and that the number might be inflated. Lovegrove, at the time of this hearing, was living in Market Place, Banbury. The court adjourned sentencing until September 5, and Lovegrove was ordered to sign the sex offenders' register and was granted unconditional bail pending his next court appearance.
