THOMAS SQUIRES SENTENCED IN SHEFFIELD FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF UNDERAGE GIRLS
In a significant case heard at Sheffield Crown Court, Thomas Squires, a 26-year-old man from Sheffield, was sentenced to serve over five years in prison for serious sexual offenses involving underage girls.The court proceedings, which took place on Friday, March 24, 2017, revealed the extent of Squires' criminal conduct and the measures taken to protect the victims and the community.
Thomas Squires had previously pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including four counts of inciting sexual activity with a child and one count of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

During the sentencing today, the judge imposed a custodial term of five years and four months.
Additionally, Squires was sentenced to a three-year period on license, which will require him to adhere to strict conditions upon release.

The court heard that Squires, who was formerly residing in Chapeltown, Sheffield, used social media platforms to contact his victims.
He requested explicit images from them, exploiting their trust and vulnerability.
The abuse spanned a period of five years, from 2010 to 2015, during which Squires engaged in predatory behavior that caused significant harm to the victims.
The case highlights the dangers of online grooming and the importance of vigilance in protecting minors from exploitation.
