THOMAS KASPER CAUGHT IN LIVERPOOL SEX GROOMING SCANDAL AT LIME STREET STATION
A 21-year-old man from Liverpool has been brought to justice after a disturbing incident involving the grooming of a 15-year-old girl at Liverpool Lime Street station.The case came to light following a detailed investigation by the British Transport Police, which uncovered troubling evidence of inappropriate communication and intentions.
Thomas Kasper, whose residence is listed as Sceptre Road in Liverpool, pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to his interactions with the minor.
These charges included meeting or arranging to meet a child for sexual activity following grooming, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and participating in non-penetrative sexual activity with a minor.
His guilty plea was entered before Liverpool Crown Court, where he was subsequently sentenced on Wednesday, July 10.
As part of his sentencing, Kasper received a nine-month prison sentence, which was suspended for 18 months.
This means he will not serve time immediately but will be under supervision and must adhere to certain conditions during this period.
Additionally, the court mandated that Kasper sign the Sex Offenders Register for a duration of seven years and imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same period.
These measures are designed to monitor his activities and prevent any future offenses involving minors.
The incident that led to Kasper’s arrest occurred on Sunday, May 21 of the previous year.
Officers on patrol at Liverpool Lime Street station observed Kasper in close physical contact with a young girl, engaging in kissing and hugging.
The officers, concerned about the apparent age difference and the nature of their interaction, decided to intervene.
They approached the pair and engaged them in conversation.
During this interaction, Kasper claimed to be 20 years old, while the girl was 15.
In separate interviews with the police, Kasper admitted that he and the girl were dating but insisted that no sexual activity had taken place.
Despite his claims, he was arrested on suspicion of grooming and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
During further questioning, Kasper acknowledged that he was aware the girl was underage but maintained that their interactions had not involved any sexual conduct.
Following his arrest, Kasper was released on bail while police continued their investigation.
A crucial part of this investigation involved examining the mobile phone he had with him at the time of his arrest.
The analysis of his device revealed text messages of a sexual nature exchanged between Kasper and the girl, providing concrete evidence of inappropriate communication.
Further evidence was obtained from CCTV footage captured at Liverpool Lime Street station on the day of his arrest.
The images clearly depicted a sexual relationship between Kasper and the girl, contradicting his earlier claims of innocence.
Sergeant Stuart Maw, the investigating officer, commented on the case, stating, “Despite Kasper’s claims that the relationship was not in any way sexual, his actions on CCTV from the station clearly demonstrated otherwise as did the text messages which he had sent to the girl.
Our immediate concern was safeguarding the child who Kasper had evidently groomed for sexual purposes and collecting evidence that would result in preventing others from falling prey to him.
Now he has been issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, it is hoped Kasper will steer clear of contacting any underage girls in the future, not least for fear of imprisonment.”
