In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Arbroath, Scotland, Thomas Dunn, aged 25, has been found guilty of heinous acts of child abuse involving a 13-month-old girl. The incident, which took place at Dunn's flat in Arbroath on January 8 of the previous year, involved a series of brutal assaults culminating in a horrifying episode where the young child was placed inside a tumble dryer and the machine was turned on.

According to court proceedings, the toddler sustained severe injuries as a result of Dunn's violent actions. She suffered multiple fractures to her skull, extensive bruising across her body, and a bite mark on her arm. The injuries were so serious that Dunn had to take her to the hospital after discovering her unresponsive condition. Sheriff Brown further noted that the severity of the case exceeded the sentencing powers of the sheriff court, leading to the case being referred to the High Court for sentencing.

It was also revealed that the Crown had dropped two additional charges—one involving an assault on the girl and another on a young boy—before the trial concluded.
