TERRY TAYLOR FROM LEIGHTON BUZZARD SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE

In December 2019, a man from Leighton Buzzard was sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of multiple counts of child sexual abuse. Terry Taylor, aged 64 and residing on Kingfisher Drive in Leighton Buzzard, faced justice at Luton Crown Court, where he was handed an 11-year prison sentence following his conviction on 11 separate charges related to the sexual exploitation of a young child.

The court heard that the abuse occurred over a period of several weeks within the last 18 months. During this time, Taylor engaged in repeated acts of sexual misconduct, which involved touching the child both over and underneath clothing. The nature of the abuse was described as persistent and invasive, causing significant distress to the young victim.

The victim, after enduring the abuse for some time, eventually found the courage to confide in an adult about what had been happening. This crucial disclosure led to the involvement of law enforcement authorities, who launched an investigation into the allegations. Following a thorough legal process, Taylor was found guilty of all 11 counts of sexual abuse brought against him.

In addition to his prison sentence, Taylor was also subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, a legal measure designed to restrict his activities and prevent any further harm to children.
