TERRY BROCKHILL SENTENCED IN BRADFORD FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ANIMAL KICKING INCIDENT

Terry Lee Brockhill, born on April 11, 1984, and residing at Kingfisher Grove, Allerton, Bradford BD8 0NP, was convicted in 2022 for physically assaulting his partner, her sister, and forcefully kicking a dog during a separate incident.

On March 26, 2022, Brockhill, under the influence of vodka and cocaine, launched an attack at a house in Keighley. He initially stood up in the early hours and assaulted his first victim by punching her in the face and grabbing her by the throat, squeezing so tightly that she had difficulty breathing, effectively throttling her. The second woman was also punched and kicked during the assault.

When the family’s dog intervened to protect his owner, Brockhill kicked the animal "with force," according to reports.

Brockhill admitted guilt before his trial to two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The victims reported bruising and described feeling very frightened during the attack. One of the women expressed fear, stating she saw ‘a look in his eye’ and was petrified, while the other described herself as extremely afraid.

Details about the dog's condition following the incident were not reported.

Although Brockhill had a record of 12 previous convictions covering 16 offences, none involved violence. The court noted this history.

He was sentenced to 20 months in jail. No charges related to animal cruelty were filed, therefore he was not prohibited from keeping animals.
