SHERWOOD DOCTOR CONVICTED OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

He was found guilty of five counts of sexual assault against two different patients.

He was sentenced to four-and-a-half years at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday (February 7).

Shah will serve at least half of that in prison, and he has been placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

The medical director of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust expressed remorse and stated that Shah betrayed the trust patients and their families place in the hospital.

Shah, 39, formerly of Embley Road, Sherwood, and now of no fixed address, denied deliberately targeting patients but was convicted after a trial.
