BRUTAL KILLER OF 81-YEAR-OLD WOMAN SENT TO SECURE HOSPITAL FOR 'VERY LONG TIME'
On 6 July 2016, Tautvydas Narbutas, aged 25, launched a gruesome attack at a remote cottage near Marlow. He entered the property by climbing through a window and viciously assaulted 81-year-old Albertina Choules with a machete, a stake, and sticks.
Despite her attempt to call emergency services, Narbutas continued his assault, inflicting severe injuries to her head, arms, and ribs.
Following her death, he further humiliated her by setting her body on fire on a small fire.
Narbutas, who suffers from schizophrenia, denied intent to murder but admitted to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.
During his arrest, he struck a police officer with a brick and was subjected to tasering multiple times.
The judge declared he would likely be kept in a secure hospital for a very long duration, calling the act 'deeply shocking and utterly revolting,' and emphasizing the brutal and heinous nature of the crime.
