SYED RAZA FROM LUTON JAILED FOR GROOMING BOY IN BEDFORDSHIRE
In January 2019, Syed Raza, a science teacher based in Bedfordshire, was sentenced to 14 months in prison after being found guilty of grooming a 15-year-old boy through a series of sexually explicit messages and inappropriate conduct.
Raza, a father of three residing on Blakeney Drive in Luton, engaged in a disturbing pattern of communication with the minor, exchanging over 1,250 text messages and making approximately 125 phone calls over a span of several months, from September to December 2017.
During the court proceedings at Luton Crown Court, it was revealed that Raza also gifted the young boy a 'Mr Perfect' Mr Men figure, which was used as a symbol of his inappropriate relationship.
The court heard that Raza admitted to engaging in sexual communication with the teenager, which included sharing intimate details about his own sex life with his wife and expressing feelings of love and longing.
In one particularly revealing message, Raza wrote to the boy, saying,
