STUART WARD FROM REDDITCH GIVEN FINAL WARNING BY COURT

In February 2012, Stuart Ward, a convicted child sex offender from Redditch, was handed a final warning by a judge after breaching a protection order intended to limit his contact with young children.

Judge Helen Hughes told the 27-year-old Ward that it was definitively his "last chance," stating, "I do this with some trepidation but I am giving you this final opportunity."

Ward, who previously admitted to breaching his conditions, was originally jailed in 2004 for indecently assaulting a two-and-a-half-year-old girl and was required to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life. He was later re-sentenced in 2010 after failing to notify authorities that he had moved in with a woman and her children.

The court was informed that Ward, of Stoneleigh Close, had contacted another woman from Walsall via the internet last year, during which he was alone with her children on two occasions in August and September.

Samantha Lamsdale, representing Ward, emphasized that he had not committed any further sexual offences since his earlier prison sentence.

Additionally, the court was told that Ward had not disclosed his past convictions to the Walsall woman, who was unaware of his criminal history.

As part of his sentence, Ward was placed under a three-year Community Order that includes a condition requiring him to attend the Sex Offenders Programme.
