STUART MINNS OF WISBECH SENT BACK TO JAIL FOR EXPOSED INDECENT ACTS AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

In a series of disturbing incidents that have brought significant concern to the Wisbech community, Stuart Minns, a man with a troubling criminal history, has been sentenced to serve time in prison once again. The latest offense occurred on the morning of December 2, when Minns, aged 37, was observed exposing himself to a woman sitting in her parked car on Sefton Avenue. The woman was in the process of taking a photograph of Minns when he continued to stare at her, causing her considerable distress. This incident took place while her partner was nearby, dropping their young child at a local infant school, highlighting the potential danger and the unsettling nature of Minns's behavior.

Police were promptly notified of the incident, and officers responded swiftly. Later that same afternoon, Minns was located and arrested in Leverington. During police interviews, he admitted to the act of exposure, which led to his being charged and subsequently convicted of this offense. Minns, who resides on Staithe Road in Wisbech, was brought before Peterborough Crown Court, where he received a sentence of one year in prison. His sentence was extended by an additional year on license, reflecting the seriousness of his actions and the need for ongoing supervision.

These events are not isolated. Minns has a long history of criminal activity related to child sexual abuse. In 2009 and again in 2019, he was convicted of child sexual abuse offenses, which resulted in him being placed on the Sex Offenders Register and subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Despite these measures, Minns continued to pose a risk to the community.

Further back in his criminal record, in December 2019, Minns was involved in a disturbing case involving child pornography. At that time, he was found to possess hundreds of indecent images of children after authorities traced his online activity. On November 14, 2019, police officers from the Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) executed a warrant at his residence on Kilbride Way, Orton Northgate, Peterborough. The investigation revealed that Minns had uploaded a total of 914 indecent images, with 304 classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of abuse.

During the investigation, Minns admitted to three counts of making indecent images of children. His actions prompted his appearance at Cambridge Crown Court, where he was sentenced to an additional year in prison for these offenses. The case underscores the ongoing threat posed by Minns and the importance of vigilant law enforcement efforts to protect vulnerable individuals from such predatory behavior.
